Greenhaw Primary School’s football team took part in the Friends of Ardnashee tournament, facing a tough group and producing mixed results. Despite this, the boys showed great determination and delivered some fantastic performances to reach the Plate Final.
After a tense 0–0 draw, the final was decided on penalties, where unfortunately we came out on the losing side. Congratulations to St. Brigid's on their win.
The highlight of the day was the opportunity to play Ardnashee. Our boys approached the game with the right spirit and attitude, and although we conceded several goals, I couldn’t have been prouder of how they represented the school. It was a great reminder that football is about giving every child the chance to enjoy the game.
A big thank you to Mr Divin from St. Brigid’s Primary School for organising such a brilliant event. We’re already looking forward to next year.
