Primary 4: Sacrament of Communion celebration

6th Jun 2025

Primary 4 First Holy Communion Parade – A Special Celebration at Greenhaw PS

On a bright and joyful day at Greenhaw Primary School, our Primary 4 pupils took part in a beautiful First Holy Communion Parade, marking a very special moment in their faith journey.

Having recently made their First Holy Communion, the children proudly dressed in their Communion outfits and processed through the school grounds, where they were warmly welcomed and celebrated by pupils and staff. The sense of pride and reverence was clear to see, making this event truly memorable for everyone involved.

The parade was a wonderful opportunity for the whole school community to recognise and honour this important sacrament. The children beamed with joy as they were applauded for their commitment and preparation.

A special word of thanks goes to our Primary 4 teachers and classroom assistants who guided the children with such care and dedication throughout their sacramental preparation. Their support made the day even more meaningful. Thank you to Mrs O'Donnell and the wonderfully talented Greenhaw Choir who sang so beautifully at the service.

We are so proud of our P4 pupils and the way they represented themselves and our school community. It was a day full of joy, faith, and celebration—one they will remember for many years to come.
